This year we had 4 personally designed Renfrew Rotary Christmas Cards with all profits (£36.00) going to Foundation. Rotarians buying cards were: David Atkinson, Robert Flynn, Allan Donaldson, Gary Louttit, Derek Louttit, Jack Winch and President John. We also had a late flurry from Peter Shea and Peter O’Keefe. Thank you all and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Renfrew Rotary at Renfrew Gala Day
Renfrew Rotarian’s at Renfrew Gala Day. The theme this year was ‘Racing Hippo’s', a £1 a go with all money raised going to ‘Local Charities’. Thanks to Stevie and Jim for dreaming up the idea and making the racing track. I broke it, was instantly disqualified, but it was soon fixed. Many Rotarian’s showed their support throughout the day.

Snooker Night 2nd March
David tried his best but unfortunately it wasn’t good enough.
Last years champions David Atkinson and Ron Graham are not bitter, but Peter did organise the evening, Charlie brought his own cue and in the final they did take the sports name ‘snooker’ literally – one for the purists!

Corseford School in Kilbarchan
FEBRUARY 2010
At long last the project is up and running. The site has been cleared of vegetation and top soil, the hard core has been laid and compacted, the windbreak fence has been erected and slabs and building material have been delivered.
Unfortunately the weather is staying cold, which will delay laying of slabs, but we are well within our target for the start of the growing season.

Derek Louttit joins Renfrew Rotary
I have been married to Chris for 7 years. We have a dog called Zola, and she’s a 2 year old Springer Spaniel. I’ve served in the Scottish Ambulance Service for 16 years, working in Ambulances, Response Cars & Helicopters. I’m now in a Managerial role, but still qualified as a Paramedic. Both Chris & I are members of Trossachs Search & Rescue Team. The Team specialises in Urban (collapsed structures) and Open Area, Search & Rescue. I’m really looking forward to being part of such a young, vibrant and socially active Rotary Club.
